October newsletter

We are gearing up for another fun year with The Alamance County Shooting Sports 4-H Club. Our club is planning on attending their first tournament at the end of September. In October we are going to have an Open House for anyone interested in finding our more about our club. To give you a few details about our club; we meet on the first Sunday of the month from 2-5 PM at Beaver Pond Sporting Club in Snow Camp. We start out by having a meeting and then the club members break up into different groups. At our meeting, we learn how to handle and shoot different firearms by certified 4-H instructors. We offer shotgun, archery, air pistol and the rifle range should be completed soon. I am excited about learning how to shoot a rifle!

Thank you for your interest

Thank you for your interest in the Alamance County Shooting Sports 4-H Club. Our endeavor is to assist and instruct youth, in a safe and responsible environment, about the basics of shooting sports. We provide "hands on" instructions in the disciplines of archery and firearms. Our club also trains and participates yearly in Shooting Sports Tournaments. Monthly meetings are held at Beaver Pond Sporting Club located in Snow Camp, NC. Youth club members are required to participate and manage the club meetings and activities. Parents are required to obtain 4-H shooting sports certification prior to enrolling their youth. North Carolina 4-H Shooting Sports certification is offered annually in the fall and occasionally in the spring. We are currently accepting new members between the ages of 12-18 years of age.
